I was planning on picking this up, but I noticed the back cover art at DVDEmpire says it's masterted in "Standard Definition", and doesn't specify that it's anamorphic. See below:
Given the recent debacle with Sony's re-release of the Cutting Edge, I can't justify buying this blind without a review.
Anyone see this DVD yet? Did the HTF reviewer get a copy?
EDIT: I also just noticed that the English dub is 5.1 but the Korean track is only 2.0. Wow, Sony must really be determined to dumb down their standard DVD's prior to Blu-Ray. This is a definite PASS for me on a title I was certain to buy.

I have it and will be giving it a look over the weekend. I'll be sure to check its anamorphicity tonight.

FYI, I just checked the private website that Sony maintains for journalists, and this disc is listed as anamorphic there, so I am hopeful. (I think there was another recent Sony title or two that didn't say anamorphic on the box but actually were.)
(BTW, "anamorphicity" is a noun. I can verify that, because I made it up! Anyway, glad you like it.)

damn, it looks like theyr'e using the cut version. the version i have (region 0 dts) is listed as 153 min. Also the movie is mostly known as "musa the warrior" in other regions.

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you

FYI: It is anamorphic, and the Korean/ Mandarin track is only Pro-Logic while the English dub (which matches the subtitles) is in 5.1.
