There have been many threads here and elsewhere over the past few years regarding HOW THE WEST WAS WON, yet still there has been no rumour or announcement of a new Anamorphic remaster of this truly deserving Classic Western.
Has anybody heard anything?
I would love to see an MGM Western Box Set that would include HTWWW, THE NAKED SPUR, ESCAPE FROM FORT BRAVO, TRIBUTE TO A BAD MAN and others such as, RIDE VAQUERO, ACROSS THE WIDE MISSOURI, MANY RIVERS TO CROSS, BILLY THE KID, etc.
MGM did not make all that many Westerns but those it did make were nearly always Classy.
I hope that Warners do something soon.
