Brazilian Flash Gordon

Can anyone comment on the Brazilian version of Flash Gordon found on eBay. It says only the menu's are not in English. Are the movie's credit's in English? Is transfer okay? I'll pick up the next US version that gets released, but for now, is the Brazilian version worth $20?

thanks!

Is it region-free? If you have the ability to play R2 discs, I would for sure get the just-released R2 version. An SE that's loaded with goodies, and a brand new transfer as well. My copy is on it's way from Amazon.co.uk.

It's region 0, plays in all players. I think it is NTSC.

I'm not sure. For my purposes, it really doesn't matter. Here's the link to the auction ... http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-SEALED-Flash...cmdZV iewItem

I wouldn't call the new R2 "loaded" with features.

Eh, it's not loaded compared to today's concept of a "fully-loaded special edition", but come on, it's got more features than many people thought would happen. And compared to the old non-anamorphic barebones disc, it's a godsend.

brand new anamorphic transfer
dolby digital and DTS
Mike Hodges commentary
Brian Blessed commentary
cast & crew interviews
trailer
original concept artwork
photo slideshow
an episode of the 1940 serial
