Bells of St. Mary's DVD

Could someone please tell me what is being blocked out underneath the title in the movie as well as the trailer and why it has been blocked out?

It's most likely the RKO logo being blocked out. RKO distributed the film on its original release in 1946. The film is now the property of the Republic library and released on DVD via Artisan, neither of which has anything to do with the RKO library which is owned by Warners.

Paramount just struck new 35mm prints of this title, so I'll bet it'll be out in a nice-looking DVD from them this year or next.
