Magnus = The voice of reason as far as this thread is concerned. If the info is on the packaging, it's not the manufacturer or the store's fault if the costumer doesn't bother to check that they're buying the right version.

I agree. When I bought mine from Best Buy, I had to dig through a display of WS and FS to find a WS copy. I didn't even know there was going to be a FS version, so I was surprised to see FULL SCREEN EDITION printed on the back of the first copy I grabbed. My first thought was, "This is going to cause problems for some people."
Bottom line: ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS check the back cover details. "Predator" has six different DVD's available. At this stage of the DVD market, with all the different versions of one title (WS, FS, 2-disc SE, SuperBit, SuperBit Deluxe, DTS, Ultimate, Director's Cut, Unrated, Explosive, Too-Hot-To-Handle, BFD, etc., etc., etc.) it's more important than ever to READ the packaging.
Would it be easier if Fox had labeled the front cover and Best Buy had a clearly marked display? Sure. Even if the display was clearly labeled, would you still just grab the DVD, purchase and open it, without confirming its features on the backside?
I can remember many threads in this forum where people were "sabotaging" (in the name of OAR) retail displays by hiding FS versions behind all the WS versions.
This probably caused a similar situation to happen.
Either way, the consumer had the option to read the package or not.
I say suck it up. A mistake was made. It happens. (You'll probably never do it again!) Give the disc to a friend or donate it to a school or library. Returning it to the store as "defective" is dishonest.
