be reissued for a 20th Anniversary package this year in a box-set with proper keepcases? Any possibility?

I just came accross this R3 package which made me jealous - http://www.hicotech.com/shop/titlema...?PID=DVD031505

I've held off on two of my favorite cult movies in hopes of something like this...

Marco,
That's one sweet looking digipak case. I've also been holding off on buying GREMLINS and GREMLINS 2: The New Batch just for the exact reason you stated. It appears that the discs are the same as the Special Editions albiet they're not in snappers. Damn, I guess you and I should hound Warner for this to come here. I shall join you in your quest.

Sweet looking indeed!

I might just succomb to the temptations and place an order, though I'm very weary of purchasing from pacific region e-tailers...

I don't get why we don't have the equivalent of that set here...

Don't worry, it's the original "film" version and not the other one from the vhs tape... This is the first thing i looked at when i got it...

Acually the dvd for Gremlins 2 contains both version. The orignal film version is in the regular movie segment, but the video break is a easter egg at the main menu (highlight the Gremlin claw). The dvd for Gremlins 2 may not be a special edition, but it does contains some good extras on it. The commentary is acually pretty neat and has some good deleted scenes from the movie too.

I need a new signature.

Haviland Morris deserved more critical and career recognition for her performance as Marla Bloodstone.

Both Region 1 discs are excellent for extras. I know that the digipack looks great above, but the r1 are are fine. Also I don't like the way that there is no real art for the sequel in the R3, whereas R1 gets the original poster!

Knowing my luck, if there is such a thing as re-incarnation, I\'d come back as me!

^ yeah but the original art is showcased on the actual disc.

I've been trying to place an order all night through DVD Heaven for this and the A Better Tomorrow trilogy set (which if you haven't seen look just as cool!), but can't figure out how the hell to get through checkout! If anyone's ever used DVD Heaven before, please help me out!!!
