I should have worded the subject differently, I supposed there are other major releases in that time but I was just considering current movies.
I was gonna mention Walking Tall too, out on 9/28 but that only grossed $46 million.

You also missed:
8/31 The Passion of the Christ: $370 mil
10/5 Aladdin: $217 mil
unless you were trying to limit yourself to 20 films.
And I might also add Return of the King EE
"Safe? Who knows what's safe? I know a man who dropped dead from lookin' at his wife. My own grandmother fought the indians for sixty years, then choked to death on lemon pie."

DVD has become such a revenue behemoth that the studios and the major retailers all coordinate when movies come out. Thats why you'll rarely see more than one A-list title come out in the same week. It obviously happens a little closer to the Holidays, but these releases one week apart aren't an accident.

My fear is the inevitable double-dippiing. I'm passing on Hellboy next week because of that (at least they're up-front about it). I have it on good authority that Man on Fire will be released as an SE farther down the line and we've already heard about Spider-Man 2.5. I'm guessing the same is true about The Day After Tomorrow.

how the list that you have. I would only be interested in these four movies. I thought spidey 2 was okay. I would still get it my collection, since I have the first movie. I also liked troy and day after tomorrow. and of course I will get garfield.
