The Wiz

Does anyone know why the end credits of The Wiz are 2.35:1 when the rest of the film is 1.85:1 ? I thought this was just on the dvd, but the film was shown on WE the other night at 1.33:1 with the end credits at 2.35:1. I can't imagine it was intended to change ratios for the credits.

According to Internet Movie Database the theatrical aspect ratio was 1:85 - 1.

I saw the theatrical version during it's original release. Credits and the film were at the same 1.85. My guess is that this is just another screwy decision by a Universal transfer "artist."
