Re: Non-Anamorphic DVD's wanted Anamorphically Enhanced

Tops on my list are

The Man With Two Brains
Honeymoon in Vegas
THE ABYSS

Is Excalibur not animorphic, or just mis-framed?

I can't believe companies are still selling films that are non-anamorphic!

It seems to play on TCM fromtime to time in a better transfer.

Companies still do non anamorphic for they use telecine labs who are clueless what 16x9 anamorphic is, thinking 4:3 widescreen is the same. I'd say 2 out of 3 telecine labs are still clueless on this matter.

I want to see Everyone Says I Love you and Evita (both Disney/Miramax/Touchstone etc.) rereleased. The 1st ESILY disc isnt even made anymore, which is sad cause i love that movie.

I found a secret.. if you have the xbox 360 and the new update.. there is a choice of letterbox/stretch/native.. if you choose stretch while watching an non enhanced dvd. it will look much better. I tried this with the original non enhanced star wars movie.. it does even cut off the sides of the movie either.

Go region-free. Right now I'm sticking with releases which are mainly NTSC and a few PAL. It's all about the quality of the TRANSFER, not more image resolution!

HVD & UHD - Holographic Versatile Disc and 7680 × 4320 resolution. The possible future of Home Theater. If we can afford it!

The R1 Dracula AD 1972 is anamorphic, as are the UK, R2 releases of Vampire Circus and Twins of Evil.
