Press Release for Video Release (thanks to Edwin Pereyra):
http://home.businesswire.com/portal/...74&newsLang=en
The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

Didn't see it in the theater.
Not interested in seeing it on DVD, or on cable/ regular TV.
Simply not interested in it.
Not a buy for me.

I'll be buying it. I liked the film, found it to be powerful, no matter what religion you are. I hope there is a no-subtitles option as well, and this should only be released widescreen. What do you all predict? July-ish?

While it is of course perfectly acceptable to not want to see this film, what exactly warrants giving it three thumbs down?

Overall it looks like this film will get a classy package. Great transfer, great soundtrack, and great sales.
On the other hand, I really wish that they went for a widescreen only release. That would have been awesome for a movie with such wide appeal and acclaim to be released OAR only and get peoples attention on it. I have not seen the movie, but seeing clips and knowing Mel's track record, I am sure the cinematography is breathtaking and a pan and scan version just frightens me more than it normally does.

Why even post in this thread if you haven't seen it and have no desire to see it?
Looks like no extras at all. That's fine by me as this amazing film is more than enough. Thanks Fox.

Wow, a Pan and Scan option. Damn, is NOTHING sacred? I wonder what Mel has to say about this. I know Fox does a Pan and Scan version of every new release now, and even many catalog titles. But you have to think that Mel must have approved this as well.

simple. to post that they havent seen it and have no desire to see it. they want to let us know they dont care, for some reason.
i havent seen it, but i want to. i am one of those people who dont really know the storyline at all. it will be a rental for me at first, then a purchase if i like it.

I've never seen Scooby-Doo 2, nor do I want the eventual DVD release. Should I start a thread?

Fantastic film about human nature. I found it intense and very personal. Certainly a worthy followup to Braveheart. Mel sure does know how to direct. Great, great, great cinematography, mood, and music. I have a feeling this will be much more highly regarded in the future (as it is with most uber-violent dramas, think clockwork orange, wild bunch).
