Manhattan

Does anyone know if there ever was a special edition of Woody Allen's "Manhattan" and if not, does anyone know if one is planned?

There is currently only the original widescreen release. Looks pretty decent. I doubt VERY much if we'll ever see a special edition of ANY Woody Allen movie, though we might eventually get an anamorphic/subtitle-corrected edition of ANNIE HALL.

Allen refuses to revist any of his films. You'll never see a special edition of this, or any other, Woody Allen movie.

Would be nice to have, but it'll never happen.

The current release is bare-bones, but the transfer is really nice and the price is great.

There were two LD releases of Manhattan, the second was "wider" and offered an isolated music track (Gershwin), that was as special as Woody gets.
