Inauguration Day for new TV...

Which DVD should I choose to inaugurate my new Mits WS-48413? What movie would be the most fun to view on a 48" widescreen? What would be a good one to test for ghosting, centering etc?

Thanks!

Bonus points to anyone who also knows where my sig came from? I now have a TV worth putting the couch up on blocks for!

If you are anything like me, no matter what you watch for the first few days you'll spend the entire time tweaking the brightness, contrast, color, sharpness, etc. Choose wisely.

I'd use the Superbit version of Lawrence of Arabia and the SE of Singin' in the Rain.

Tell The Weinstein Company to release Richard Williams' animated masterpiece The Thief and the Cobbler on DVD in Panavision widescreen and uncut! See and hear what you're missing from their Bitsy Award winner of Worst Standard Edition DVD of 2006 on YouTube!

Although i don't watch it, I assume your sig came from the tv show ED, as those are names of characters on that show.

And watch anything from pixar, Nemo would work as would Toy Story 2... but calibrate first, no matter what anyone says.

I always make sure that Traffic:Criterion is the first movie shown on ANY new television, or dvd player that I come in contact with. I'd watch Traffic...but I'm biased. Just look at my signature.
