HELP!! Anyone else having problems with Warner Bros. 2-disc DVD mail offer?

At Christmastime there was a mail-in offer in the Sunday papers: buy two 2-disc Warner Special Edition DVDs and send proof of purchase with $3.25 to Warner Bros. and you'd get a third 2-disc DVD free! I bought "The Adventures of Robin Hood" and "Casablanca" and sent the check (which was promptly cashed!) with the order form for my free "Giant" 2-disc Special Edition. It's late April, and I STILL don't have my free DVD! Can anyone out there help me ? Is there anyone else out there who's in the same boat I am? HELP!!!

I also sent in a coupon and check for $3.25, which was also promptly cashed. I'm not absolutely certain that this is the exact same offer as you, but probably is. I found out about it from one of the online vendor web sites, which popped a window with details when one clicked the "buy" link of one of the eligible titles. The last day to apply was Jan. 31, so I thinking it is most likely the same offer.

I requested "Citizen Kane", but have received nothing (except a cancelled check), yet.

I bought Yankee Doodle Dandy and Treasure of the Sierra Madre and got Unforgiven in the mail in February or March.

Try calling the following number for customer service. And also have the link for the coupon offer with all the details if it helps.

I sent mine in almost to the very last day of the promotion. Within three weeks, I had received my free DVD. I think you should try and get in touch with the people who processed the paperwork for your free DVD.

Thanks, Brian!! I just called Warner Bros., and they said that my "Giant" was mailed on the 21st, but it would take up to 4 weeks before I get it!! Of all the stupid nerve!!!! I mailed the check at the end of the year, and I have to possibly wait until Memorial Day??? This is no way to run a business! Time Warner should be ashamed of itself!

Charles,

Stock of the freebies may have been low. Cut them some slack. This wasn't WB running a promotion, they outsourced it like everyone else does. They have limited stocks they have to replenish... be glad you're getting your requested title.

Eh, mail-in order deals. They say 6-8 weeks, but they usually mean 6-8 months. Not worth the hassle to me...

Excuse me, but if a major company is out to entice people with such an offer, it should be done in a reasonably timely manner. Besides, just because you got yours early does not entitle you to belittle others or be hopelessly rude....

Mr Ellis, you seem to overreact.
