In my research these are the titles I've found that are encoded in EX/ES in Region 1 only;

This list is a guide to help home theater enthusiasts who want an 6.1 or 7.1 surround sound experience via DVD. The majority of the time, the EX/ES encoding isn't listed on the DVD itself and the other half of the time the EX/ES listing on DVDs is incorrect!

Great list. You might want to separate or note the DTS-ES titles that are discrete.

I believe they are the Haunting, Se7en and Gladiator. I can't remember about Chicken Run but Terminator 2 is definitely matrix.

I believe 102 Dalmations, T2, Cast Away, Pitch Black, The Legend of Baggar Vance, and The Bone Collector were DTS-ES matrix.

The Haunting, Chicken Run, Se7en Platinum Edition, and Gladiator are DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 encoded.

The German DVD version of Sleepy Hollow was DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 as well.

The packaging on Pitch Black does not indicate it as being DD-EX. Just wondering if you were considering it DD-EX just because it can be played that way, otherwise it shouldn't be on the list. To add to the list the new Die Hard Trilogy is supposed to be have DTS-ES tracks, somebody correct if I am wrong. Toodles!!

Yep, Pitch Black is EX. Verified through multiple sources. We all know how the manufacturers screw up the labeling on a lot of DVD packaging, don't we? I haven't seen anything official on the Die Hard Trilogy as of yet. I'll add that to the list when it's official.

Cool, I guess I didn't notice because I always play Pitch Black in DTS. Or is it also possible to decode the DTS track to a DTS-ES Matrix?? Thanks for any answers.
