No, that was a typo as per an earlier post. I deleted it.

ok i did some searching around and found out the difference between dts discete and matrx but why are several titles listed as both?
gladiator and haunting for example.

i just got a denon 3803 so am new to the rear surround channel.
i read through several of the faqs but didnt see any reference to this.

by the way pirates comes out on dec 2nd.

Because, if you only have a decoder capable of playing back a DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 track as matrix, the ES 6.1 track is still compatible with those older decoders.

ok, so if it is a discrete rear track, then it is also a matrix by default.
so doesn't that make that part of the list redundent?

Exactly why they are listed twice. To eliminate any assumptions and misnomers I show they are compatible with both, because they are and most people are unaware of that. This lists caters to the old and the new and by the titles showing in both, everyone is informed.

Question - Can you all confirm if LOTR:EE and TTT:EE are DD-EX 5.1 AND dts-es matrix 6.1 OR dts-es discrete 6.1.

I know it has dd-ex 5.1 but basically is the dts matrix, discrete or both?
