Who has a good database of all R1 DVDs with full specs?

Yes, time for another of Rolando's big, all encompassing general questions.

I am looking for a site with a good search feature to find any DVD released, specially R1, with all the specs.

Seems to me that these used to abound when I started collecting in 97/98. I used sites like widescreen review to find out if it was out on DVD, was it anamorphic and what were the extras?

That site is still around though in the last years most content become subscriber only.

I use IMDB often but it's not always accurate and will have no DVD info sometimes though one may exist. Like I was looking to see if "When Strangers Appear" was on DVD, a cool movie from the writer/Director of The Ugly. 2 overlooked gems I discovered quite by accident.

Now I think HTF and Digital Bits have an extensive array of reviews but if the DVD was not reviewed no specs to be found anywhere on the sites. Sure I can find all my popular choices from Trek to Disney but rarities such as these well, not so much.

What do you guys use to find out if a DVD exists and what it's features are?

What do you use to find if a DVD in another region is better or has more features? Were it not for HTF how would I know to hunt Hong Kong Legend Bruce Lee movies and avoid the R1 Fox releases.

Try www.amazon.com for starters ...

Easily, the best is All Movie Guide

Look up any film, and then click on the DVD icon or "DVD release." Most list complete specs, right down to the chapters and duration. Some have reviews and a complete description. Here's the page for Once Upon a Time in the West SE as a sample.
