Dear MGM: You forgot SOLDIER BLUE for your upcoming Western Promo...

Again I appeal to you, MGM, to release this long out-of-print 1970 western in its uncut R-rated form and in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen. Candice Bergen and Peter Strauss (and Buffy St. Marie, who did the title song) are still arouund for commentary, but I'd gladly buy this with no extras save the trailer. Thanks!

SOLDIER BLUE is one of the StudioCanal Embassy titles that MGM did not exercise an option on. You would likely have better luck requesting it from Anchor Bay.

MGM did forget THE HUNTING PARTY though, as well as NAVAJO JOE, SABATA, RETURN OF SABATA, ADIOS SABATA and DUCK YOU SUCKER.

Duck, You Sucker , please. Oh, in the newly restored print with extended flashback sequences, etc. back in place. Just like the beautiful print MGM unfurled recently in such venues as Film Forum in NYC. Still can't get Ennio's gorgeous theme out of my head.
