Thanks Patrick! I've been waiting for this one for nearly a year when I heard Friedkin was working on it. Glad to see the alternate ending on there to boot.

I would have liked to see the music videos. I ran across one for the title song on VH1 classics but couldn't tape. I wish more companies would put music videos on DVD.

With the state the music industry is in, I'm sure they just see $$$ whenever studios approach them for anything DVD related.
As cool as the Wang Chung music and videos are, I wouldn't want them to hold up this disc any longer.

I am SOOOOOOOO all over this one!!! December 2nd can't come quick enough!! I can't believe it has all that I was hoping for: 5.1, anamorphic, deleted scenes, alternate ending AND a Freidkin commentary!!! Add into that the fact that it's only $19.95!! I know where MY money is going this December!!

Awesome news. One of my favorites. Great cover art too. It's very close to my original insert:

Have never seen the film, but I might buy it sight unseen since I've heard so many good things about it; I became a big Friedkin fan last year when I picked up The French Connection and The Exorcist, while I found The Hunted to be mildly entertaining; if theres any extra cash lying around in December I'll definitely pick this and Escape From New York up. MGM certainly knows how to build anticipation for their catalogue titles...

If you liked The French Connection I'm sure you'll like To Live & Die in L.A.. To my mind at least, it's an even better film.
My list of most-wanted DVDs just got one disc shorter. This has been a great year!
