Star Trek V Special Features 4x3… what gives?

The past few Star Trek motion picture DVDs have had documentaries and special features that were 16x9; enhanced for widescreen.

However, all of the Star Trek V special features appear to be 4x3. Even the trailers are non-anamorphic!

Why was this done after the precedent that was set for the previous special edition DVDs?

Since this was not a popular film I'm guessing that Paramount figured that nobody would care.

It all depends upon how it was shot--most videographers still shoot in 4x3 even if they have a camera capable of 16x9. A lot of the 16x9 material on other recent Trek discs was cropped or squeezed to force it into 16x9 anyhow. When one is assembling video from various sources, ya gotta go one way or the other with the final edit.
