Universal- Thanks for both versions of "American Wedding" on same disc
Just wanted to say I appreciate making the use of the format's capabilities by including both the theatrical and "unrated" versions on the same disc instead of making us choose one or the other. I bought the theatrical versions of the other 2 "American Pie" movies because I wanted the versions that were shown in theaters, but I appreciate being able to see the alternate versions also without having to buy another disc. Putting multiple cuts of a movie on one disc was one of the highly-promoted features of DVD in the beginning, but very few releases have actually used this feature, and too many alternate versions of movies have only been released as separate discs. (I assume the separate "American Wedding" discs with just the theatrical version were done for retailers that won't carry unrated films, but even this didn't hinder the release of both versions on the unrated disc.) Now if only they could have done away with the separate "Foolscreen" releases, or at least put it on the same disc as well.
However, I won't be buying The Rundown, Johnny English, or Bring It On Again because of the forced ads for these that they expect people to always watch or manually scan through every time before starting the movie.
