Has Warners Replaced Kiss Me Kate

Sometime ago, Bob Harris posted here (and I can't find it) that Warners was redoing their Kiss Me Kate with proper framing and some extra features around November - has this happened and where can I find it?

So far it doesn't seem that Kate has been kissed again. I'd like to get the revised version as well.

I hope someone in the know will keep us updated to the status of this release - I've been holding off until the fixed version comes out, and I really want this one...

I've just assumed Warner was blowing smoke to get us complainers to shut up.

Hey Mark, that's unfair. Warner Bros. has stated they were fixing the disc. Warner has fixed DVD's in the past (As has Sony/Columbia and Fox) so we should believe them. Doubt they're going to issue a recall - many people don't even know there was a problem, but future discs should be the correct version.

It would be nice if Warner let the forum know if the new disc is out there (When Sony corrected the framing on "Annie" they were very quiet about it, and many pasted on the disc - now a Pan and Scan version is coming out to make matters worse)

Really? What disc has Warner fixed in the past? I don't count Willie Wonka; that was intentional, not a mistake.

Usually, it's because they don't have faulty discs. Has WB even had to recall a title?

Can't wait for the replacement but I do wish they'd include the 1.75:1 version in anamorphic video.

Warner Bros. screwed up the widescreen transfer for the PAL version of one Babylon 5 episode in the first season. The problem affected all R2 DVDs. The studio fixed the problem and started shipping corrected sets out soon after it was brought to their attention, and they also accepted defective discs for exchange by mail.

Regards,

Joe
