Moulin Rouge skip & freeze

I had posted this on Moulin Rouge DTS problem thread but that one seems too long with 8 pgs.

I am having a severe freeze/skip/pixelation problem with my Moulin Rouge disc. It occurs near the end of Ch 19 (Like a Virgin)where the layer change is. I use Sony 9000ES and this is the first disc to do so. I checked on my portable Toshiba SDP-1000 and the same problem occurs. Disc surface is clean and without a scratch. Has anyone else experiecnced this with their disc? Do I have a disc rot?

BTW, I also see a DTS sync problem as well. This is a shame since DTS sounded so good.

I'd say you have a bad disc.

Just my luck. It played fine on first 2~3 viewing. I put it on couple of days ago to check if my disc had the DTS sync problem. I found a bigger problem

I had the exact same problem. It made the second half of the movie nearly unwatchable as it kept happening throughout the rest of the movie. The good news is I swapped it for a new set and it works fine.
