Why not Toy Story (1 or 2)

Dude, I love it, but 'Toy Story' is a completely Atheist movie.

Laugh if you want, but read the review; I can't imagine an argument against it.

How about some John Woo films, like The Killer or Hard Boiled? Your friend had no objection to The Matrix, and Woo is a devout Christian.

For a real classic that has good religous morals while still maintaining an entertaining aspect to adults, why not try GARDEN OF ALLAH with Marlene Dietrich and Charles Boyer?

Thought of another one no one has mentioned,

Catch Me If You Can

It does show a prostitute getting screwed but it's not what you think.

That doesnt make much sense to me... I would think an extremely religious person wouldnt go near a movie like The Matrix with a 50 foot pole...

Ryan, I see where you are coming from on that one, but here's an interesting story. I was actually surprised the other night when I was hanging out with some friends and this topic came up. One of the folks present is a pastor and has a PhD in theology. We ended up getting into a good conversation on the theological symbolism in the Matrix. I was intrigued to hear his viewpoints on it.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Jonah: A Veggietales Movie. I find it to be a very funny film. And it's a good show piece for your HT, at least the picture aspect of it.

I don't think he is looking for a religious movie or about religion, but a non offensive one.

"Catch me if you can" has a few scenes that go past just plain innuendo.

Think back of airplane

I had a thread like this one about a year ago. I can't rememebr the title but if you do a search you should find it. One common suggestion from folks was "North by Northwest."

I still haven't seen it but enough folks have praised it's merit.

Michael.
