Once Upon A Time In The West - What language?

I did a search and nothing came up for this film which sort of surprised me, so I'll start a new thread.

IMDb says this film is in Italian. Yet with stars such as Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson, this sort of doesn't seem likely. Does anyone know what language the DVD will be. I'm not up to watching 165 minutes of sub-titles.

Thanks

Deane

The film was an Italian movie filmed in Spain and the United States and it is in English.

Thank you sir! After seeing Once Upon A Time In America for the first time in my life when it came out on DVD, I have been anxious for this one. I couldn't understand how it could be in anything but English with the actor lineup it has.

I assume that much like Sergio Leone's other westerns, the main characters are played by English speaking actors and many of the supporting roles are played by Italian actors who are dubbed into English.

Was it shot MOS (without sound) like many Italian films were?

I heard something about a Easter egg, the new trailer..
Do anyone know where it is?
Also has anyone else noticed a little hiss in the sound in some scenes? I noticed this, otherwise a great dvd of a fantastic movie!

Well the hiss, is also present on the Mono track, so I am assuming that it is intentional! You can especially hear it a the auctioning.

Well found the Easter egg:

Insert the second disc of the set in your DVD Player and on the Main Menu of the DVD highlight the menu entry 'Documentaries.' Now press the 'Left' arrow key on your remote control and the title 'Once Upon A Time In The West' will be highlighted. If you press the 'Enter' key now, you will be treated to a very cool – and brand-new - looking trailer for the movie.
This hidden feature has been submitted to us by Chris Scarrow.
