Superbit "Charlie's Angels 2" Question ????

I just read that there will be separate PG-13 and Unrated versions for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle DVD.

I wonder which version they will decide gets the Superbit treatment: PG-13 or Unrated?

Any thoughts?

My guess? Neither.

Jason,

Why would you say neither? This is Columbia we're talking about, so eventually it's inevitable we'll see a Superbit version for this one. We got a Superbit for the first
Charlie's Angels.

I would hope it would be the Unrated version planned for the Superbit.

Later!

The movie tanked, which means a sequel is unlikely, thereby reducing the likelihood of a Superbit release. If there is a Superbit, however, it will probably be the T&A version.

That doesn't exactly explain the existence of these Superbits, does it?

The Dark Crystal
Gattaca
Heavy Metal 2000
Hollow Man
Hook
John Carpenter's Vampires
Johnny Mnemonic (???)
Labyrinth
Seven Years In Tibet
Vertical Limit

Box office performance or critical acclaim don't seem to be among the criteria used to select Superbit titles.

That's true. In fact the film is probably an ideal candidate for Superbit given the sort of dreck normally reserved for the Superbit hall of fame.

I hope it's not the unrated version. Rubbish does affect the quality of a SuperBit.

Of all the amount of Superbit releases there have been why would everyone consider every Columbia title now to be coming out as a superbit release? Really, I think you are taking it a little too far.

Not every title.
Man in Black, Man in Black 2.
Charlie's Angels, Charlie's Angels 2.

It makes perfect sense, but not so soon I think.

One more: Spider-Man (Superbit release before Spider-Man2), Spider-Man 2.
