I would imagine that DVD releases will still be handled by the film companies with which contracts were signed at the appropriate time. The transfer of The Jim Henson Co. doesn't somehow invalidate all prior contracts.
I too think that prior productions are wholly the responsibility of the individual studios responsible. This bodes well for the future though. I hope Brian already has plans for another feature or TV series.
I too hope we'll get Fraggle Rock, Storyteller, The Jim Henson Hour, Muppets Tonight, and The Muppet Show in full season sets. I also hope we'll get all the movies in OAR. Columbia did beautifully, why can't Disney offer the same?

Damin and Jeff are probably right about this not changing any video rights, but I sure with that it did. I want The Muppet Show in season-by-season sets.
And I sure wish that this change would mean widescreen versions of the two Disney ones. But if it doesn't, then Disney seems perfectly content without my money.
