CTHV Press Release: "Loose Cannons"

Hilarious Buddy Cop Comedy Starring
Academy AwardŽ Winner Gene Hackman
and Academy AwardŽ Nominee Dan Aykroyd

********************************
LOOSE CANNONS
********************************
Premiering on DVD July 8

Culver City, CA (April 28, 2003) - Funnyman Dan Aykroyd (Grosse Pointe
Blank, Evolution) teams up with Academy AwardŽ winner Gene Hackman (Unforgiven,
The French Connection) in the screwball buddy-cop comedy LOOSE CANNONS from
director Bob Clark (Porky's, Baby Geniuses), coming to DVD for the first time July 8 from
Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

Hackman stars as Mac, a Washington, D.C. police detective who teams with a new
partner, Ellis - a brilliant police detective who always hides his true identity. But he's not
undercover, he's schizophrenic! Together, these two mismatched partners along with
Ellis' personal cast of thousands tackle a baffling murder with a trail that involves the fight
for the possession of a pornographic film starring Adolph Hitler and a prominent German
politician. The FBI and the Israeli secret service can't solve the case, but then they don't
have multitude of personalities on their team. Suspense and comedy collide in this off-the-
wall action comedy that's loaded with personality.

LOOSE CANNONS also features a hilarious supporting cast including Dom
DeLuise (Cannonball Run), David Alan Grier (Jumanji), Nancy Travis (Three Men and a
Baby) and Ronny Cox (Total Recall).

I'm actually looking forward to this one:b

I'm just pleased Columbia is releasing a catalog title OAR for a change.

This was one of the last 2.35 movies released only in pan and scan on laserdisc- I rented it a long time ago and it looked awful; some of the opening credits were squeezed so the words would fit on the screen!
