Culver City, CA (April 28, 2003) - Hollywood comedy legend Jerry Lewis (The

DON'T RAISE THE BRIDGE, LOWER THE RIVER filled with the hilarious screwball
antics for which he's famous, debuting for the first time on DVD July 8 from Columbia
TriStar Home Entertainment.

Jerry plays George Lester, an American in London, who is threatened by divorce
from his wife and retreats into daydreams of adventure and grandiose schemes, which
constantly get him into trouble. His first outrageous plan turns his wife's ancestral palace
into a Chinese disco, an idea she hardly appreciates. Forced to raise money to restore the
mansion, George unveils an even crazier scheme with the help of his con-man friend,
Willy Homer (Terry-Thomas) to sell the Arabs stolen plans for an electronic oil drill.
George smuggles the plans into Lisbon where he is supposed to make the big deal, but then
learns the plans are phony! He manages to escape the wrath of the Arabs and promises his
