MGM August Horror Movies - Covers and The Brood!
I can't believe The Brood is finally coming out-- in 16x9 WS to boot. Too bad there's no Cronenberg commentary, but for MGM's cheap prices (and decent transfers), I can't complain.

All of these are due out on August 26.

That's great news. I haven't seen it since it's theatrical run.

I always remember the scene...
Typical Cronenberg. Gotta hand it to him for mining the sub-sub-sub genre of gynocological horror! Can't believe I saw that when I was 12 or 13 (circa Scanners' theatrical release).
Cheers,

Wow, at least the Poltergeist 2/3 cover has some artistic merit,

I'm really glad to see "The Brood" coming out. Now I don't have think about buying the foreign version. I like the cover art for "The Ghoul". At least it is not like 99.99% of the usual DVD covers which always have a noggin shot. I'm SO sick of noggin covers.

I'm sure that MGM did that because they don't think that a black & white film from the 30's will sell as well without it. It'a a nice cover but totally inappropriate.

Anyone who can read will see on the back cover that this is a B&W film from the 1930's.
