Wow, I was pretty impressed with the quality of the video transfer on this disc. The colors look quite well. The aerial photography is some of the best I've seen, and the planes, well, they are the real stars here, now aren't they? The also look superb.I highly recommend if you don't buy this one ,at least rent it this Memorial Day weekend.In the words of Vera Lynn, "Bless 'em all!"

The video quality is quite high: I'm just annoyed about the cuts/version of the film that is presented on the DVD.

Yes, I see what you mean Dennis. Would it be possible that another release(Region) would have DD or DTS and soundtrack etc. like the original. The mono soundtrack was o.k., it just seemed like even a stereo soundtrack would have been nice.
