Twin Peaks Season 1 R4
EzyDVD shows this for release in February by Paramount but no details to go with it. Does anyone know if it will include the pilot, like (I think) the German version? And ths DTS tracks available on the Region 1?
I have the Region 1 set and _love_ it, but I want that pilot, preferably with a quality video and audio transfer.
Thanks,
Paul

Well the R4 versions are usually the same as the R2 version, and the R2 version has the pilot on, though the video quality is not as good as the rest of the series (it looks slightly washed out compared to the other episodes)
No DTS track on the R2 version though

At the end of a storm, there's a golden cloud, and the sweet silver song of a lark,
Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Though your dreams may be tossed and blown,
Walk on, Walk on, with hope in your heart and you'll never walk alone,
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!

I've read that the Korean set that will be coming out will be the exact same set as the R1 except it will have the pilot. This show is one of the rare instances where PAL speedup would distract me, so I'm waiting for reviews on the Korean set.

This has been released NTSC in Japan.
This set is the same as the UK version including the pilot.

Yes, but the Korean version is the same only it's quite a bit less.

Which is a good site for ordering from Korea, for that matter, is there a site with lists of good internet DVD vendors from around the world, I would love that!
Thanks for any info.

So far, this is the only site I've seen carrying the Twin Peaks box from Paramount. I normally deal with DVD Asian or Mr. Kwang but they don't seem to be carrying this set.

Check it out the specs for the Region 4 set:
http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/222193
Dolby Digital 2.0!! If that isn't a typo then it is a disgrace!
Just the fact that a DTS 5.1 track exists for these episodes and all we get is a stereo track sucks bigtime. I would have instantly bought this set with the Dolby Digital 5.1.
Not happy, Paramount, get your act together. What was an "assured sale" is now a "not on your life".
What an insult.

Did anyone order Twin Peaks from the first site mentioned?
http://www.koreandvds.com/dvddetail.html?id=2807
It was quite a bit cheaper than the other sites but I wonder how reliable the merchant is.
I also see that the Region 1 release can be purchased online for a mere $22. Are these closeouts a prelude to a new release that includes the pilot? One can only hope this is the case

I saw a note at www.thedigitalbits.com indicating that Paramount will rerelease this title (including the pilot) when the rights revert to it near the end of 2005.
