Sweetness! I just picked up the current edition a couple of months ago and I expected this, cause whenever I pick up an older disc, it always get a SE two months later.

Last time I checked, Empire Records was a scope (2.35:1) film. Hopefully DVD File just put 1.85:1 as a mistake. It'll be mine when it is released in June (why so far away?). I just wish Warner would also include the theatrical release along with this new director's cut like DreamWorks with Almost Famous.

It is 2.35:1
By the way, expect to see Tobey Maguire's deleted role restored in this new cut.

I quite enjoyed this film when I saw it on cable a year or so ago. I think an extended cut SE is warranted. I can't wait to see the results.

They've fixed their mistake...
I just wanted to add my joy -- this is great news -- I like this movie a lot, and I love Allan Moyle's work -- he is a HUGELY underrated director.

Can we get a new SE of New Waterford Girl now? Moyle outdid himself on that one, eh.
