Under Capricorn (1949) - Restoring the film
Hi,
Is there any plans for restoring Under Capricorn (1949)? Under Capricorn (1949) DVD released by Image Entertainment was completely washed out version. Long time ago, I got an Italian Version of the film. It looks brilliant. Its a lot different from the American DVD released by Image Entertainment.
James Bridie wrote the screenplay for Under Capricorn. And Hume Cronyn did the adaptation for the film. Its surprising that only few people recognize the symbolisms in the film. James Bridie was very famous for his biblical plays. There are lots of Christian symbolisms in the film.
