Does Circuit City or Best Buy have Layaway?

Just wondering if Circuit City or Best Buy have Layaway?

If so, what are the details about the layaway?

Such as length of layaway, what items are permitted and any minimum purchase amount?

I would like to put some DVDs and a DVD recorder on layaway for Christmas. So any help is appreciated.

I don't think they do. A jar hidden under your bed is probably the best bet.

Best Buy in Canada does, you just have to put down at least 10% and I think make a payment every month or so

What is the point of it?

Either I want to take it home/buy it for delivery, or have no connection to the product at all.

A lot of people use it as a saving tool... or lets say something is on sale and you want the price, but can't afford it right away.
