This may be the same guy who was "Blue Camry SE" and a couple of other pseudonyms over at AVS. Certainly has the same MO. Everytime somebody identified him, that guy seemed to creat a new personna and would pop up again.

Re: Do I Have All This Hooked Up Correctly?
Well, this tread seems kind of pointless now, but I will post something else...
Small correction:
"The in-store demos almost always take place on a 1080p 120Hz LCD with a form of "motion enhancement" circuitry turned on (i.e. Sony's "Motionflow") which interpolates the 24 fps into 120hz, creating a "smoother" motion and more 3D picture."
For Sony, Sharp, Sammy TVs, the motion enhancement has to be turned off for 24p to be seen perfectly (i.e. for every frame to be repeated 5 times, adding up to the 120hz). If the motion enhancement is turned on, then the TV does the 3:2 pulldown process, getting 60 frames, and doubles each frame. However, you're right in saying that Johnny Depp seems to float, because most stores use their own feed, which is 60hz, and the set interpolates the 60hz into 120hz. Only the special displays use BDs, which is rarely turned on to 24p anyway... Go figure...
120hz TVs (apart from some of the Sharp 64 series, and the Pioneer plasmas) are right now the only way to get true 24p playback (i.e at multiples of the original framerate). Front projectors do this, but they usually cost more than 120hz TVs and need constant attention and upkeep, not to mention a dedicated home theatre. Right now, the only reason, in my mind, to get a 120hz TV is not the get the motion enhancement, but to get true 24p playback.

And no, I don't care whether you respond or not. You are building your own repoutation.
LMFAO...next time, check your spelling before you press "Post"...
I'm not trying to garner a reputation; that's not what this is about. Just pointing out the fact that I'm ignoring your posts, that's all.

Why is it not "okay" for someone to say that's the way they like the picture to look or come across? The analogy you made really has nothing to do with what I'm talking about regarding why most demos are set up the way they are.

Interesting information; is this the "reason" the screens have that "immersed floatability" effect that's common on demo screens?

Closed for reasons which are probably self-evident.
