Arcam HT Question

I posted this earlier, and I'm still hoping someone can give me some advice. My question is about the Arcam AVP700 & P1000 HT combo. Does anyone have any experiences with these two components they would be willing to share? I am currently using an Arcam 9/9P 2-channel set-up, but would like to take the plunge into a full 7.1 system, and have the opportunity to purchase this combo used (< 1 yr. old) for approx. $3,000. Is this a reasonable price, and are these components up to par with Arcam's audio separates? Thank you all in advance for your kind help.

Re: Arcam HT Question

Hi Adrian, I haven't had the opportunity to audition these separates (though I've been very impressed by the AVR350). Checking Audiogon, I see that the AVP700 + P1000 would typically sell used for $2,550. In fact, I see this combo brand new on videogon (two months old, unopened) for $3,000. You may be able to bargain with the seller down to a more reasonable asking price.

Re: Arcam HT Question

I have the 700, with NAD 272, and Rotel RMB 1075, and loving it. The only down side is the HDMI in is only for video switching.
