Question about Sony HT-DDW995

I've justed started to look for a good and cheap home surround system and I found the Sony HT-DDW995. It seems very good and right up for my price range, but I do have one question about. I also have a blu-ray player, and I was wondering how the receiver will play the next-gen options. I know that it won't decode them fully, and for a PCM track it'll only play it as two channels. I'm curious about how it'll playback both TrueHD and DTS-HD. Will it play TrueHD as a regular 5.1 Dolby Digital Track and DTS-HD as a regular 5.1 DTS track. I hope someone can give me a little insight to this.

Does your player decode the HD formats and does it have analog 5.1 outputs?

IIRC, if you set the player audio to AUTO and connect to the 995's receiver with HDMI, you'll get regular DD/DTS (if you set it to PCM, you'll only get 2 channels as you already know). You can probably also force this to happen by connecting the player to the receiver with a digital audio cable (optical or coax) but that defeats the purpose of having a receiver that handles audio over HDMI (which the 995 does).

The Player I have is BDP-S300 (which doesn't decoded the HD Formats), but I'm hoping to upgrade to a different player in the next couple of months.
