HT7100DH audio volume?

havent been able to find any threads on the sony HT7100DH setup...

Just bought this surround setup and the Toshiba hd-a3 hddvd player and im having problems with the volume while watching movies. I noted the max volume on the receiver is 70, while watching movies i have the volume set as high as 65 just to have a comfortable sound volume. I dont understand why? The sound from the hd player is coming over optical. Anyone shed some light on this?

It was my bad.. I had the audio from the hd player set incorrectly to a lower sound setup. Switched it over for AV receiver and its amazing now. Huge difference. Im such a stinkin newbie
