Noob receiver(denon 3806)/HDMI question
I got an HDMI splitter finally, and tried hooking it up tonight to my Denon 3806. I have 3 HDMI sources feeding the box, and the box outputting on channel A to the 3606.
Video goes through the receiver fine and out the video monitor channel just fine to the projector.
But sound is NOT coming through on any of the sources to the Speakers hanging off of the receiver. I thought maybe I would have to go in to each source and tell em to switch from Optical out to HDMI out. So I tried it on the PS3, and when I select HDMI audio out the PS3 tells me that its not legal to set that selection!
I have the HDMI set to the 'DBS' input and DBS set to look for HDMI audio in that setup option.
Any clues?
