Group Buy on the Integra 9.8 Preamp

OK Guys. If I cant find a online dealer is there any1 here that would like to do a Group Buy on the 9.8? I have e-mail several local dealers asking them if they would give us a deal on say 5-10 units for a group buy. I will do the sales over the phone and out of State (To get passed not having to pay sales tax) then I would pick them up and send them to the members that wanted them or see if we could get them Drop Shipped. Let me know what you guys think of this..
If there is a question about this being a scam you can check my eBay feed back (User ID: ImLow78). I'm just trying to get and Pass on a good deal. So if there is anyone interested in this shoot me a PM with your E-Mail then I will e-mail you back.

I don't think any dealer anywhere has any problem at all selling these things right now. From what I've been seeing over on AVS, there is a solid 2 month or so backlog on orders.

So there's not a lot of motivation for a group buy for a dealer.

If it's not worth waiting until the last minute to do, then it's not worth doing.

Re: Group Buy on the Integra 9.8 Preamp

I've had a 9.8 on order since early September. I called my dealer for my "bi-weekly update". Our regional Integra rep is telling him end of November for filling backorders and end of January for any new order. According to the rep, Integra is being very tight-lipped with providing info even within the company and haven't given them any reason for the delays. The speculation is that they're having trouble sourcing parts, but no one knows for sure. I don't think there's any way you'll be able to get a group buy going on this with stock being virtually non-existant.

Re: Group Buy on the Integra 9.8 Preamp

Guys I already have a local dealer that has gave a price for me to buy my own and has agreed that when I get a list together for the people that want one that all I have to do is come to the store (after January 1st) and he would make us a deal that would be too good to pass up.

Gregg not to sound or to be defiant, This next part is for you and the Admins of this board. Why cant The members that support this board and are the reason this board is what it is today that are trying to pass on great deals by publicly getting the members that want a item and know that if this item is bought in quantity they will receive a greater discount (thus letting many people benefit by this).
Why are we "the members" not able to offer or support Group buys on the wonderful Home Theater Forum as long as that buy is Home Theater Oriented?

Also Gregg I now see the #12 rule in the forum rule section.
12. Home Theater Forum prohibits GROUP PURCHASES, unless cleared with the owners of the forum first. Please do not organize nor refer to any such purchase arrangements in your posts.

But like my question above is still why? I at no time in this post am I trying to sound hostile towards you or the other admins I just feel that as long as the Item being offered as a Group Buy is of Home Theater nature and Is not Offered by any of the forums Sponsors there should be no conflicts or problems with that member to offer that item.

Thank you!
Shannon Wilson

Just let me know guys. I'm thinking we might be able to get them as low as 1200-1400 if we get enough people in on this.

Re: Group Buy on the Integra 9.8 Preamp

Just FYI - without a group buy you should be able to get those same prices. I have one on order for $1350. I've seen other people around on the 'net getting similar prices. Just negotiate well and you don't really need a group buy to get good prices on these things.
