need a silly question answerd..

i just bought a new entertainment center with a large enough space in the bottom center (glass doors in front) to fit my panamax 5100 and rotel 1057

anythoughts on me just sitting the rotel on top of the panamax ? there is no shelf in here... i dont think i should sit the panamax on the rotel...

thanks

It's not the most ideal way to set them up, but sometimes it can't be helped. If there's another way, other than one sitting on top of the other, that you'd be happy with, you should probably do that.

Sitting one on top of another will usually block air vents, somewhat, and the heat will rise to the top one. That can be troublesome. I removed the glass doors from our entertainment center, to help keep the heat from being held in, giving more breathing room.
Good luck!

well the panamax is a power conditioner with no vents i dont think the thing even get hot.. the vents for the rotel are along the top and there is still a good 5-6 inches around the thing for ventilation i was more concerned with any odd emf or frequencies coming off the panamx and disruptign the sound from the rotel

Re: need a silly question answerd..

I had my Denon 3805 sitting on top of my Panamax 5100 for a time while waiting for my cabinet to be finished and had no problems at all. The Panamax puts out no heat and doesn't interfere with the receiver at all.....in my limited experience anyway.
