HK-520 no sound

Hey Guys

I tried to hook up my 520 to smaller home theatre set up but I am getting no sound. I was wonder if it was because for the past couple of years i have been using my HK-520 as a pre amp. Could this hurt my receiver?

Also, with the 520 there was some small metal clips that were in the preouts and i removed them to add the power amp. If i put them back would that fix the issue?

Yes it would. Put them back and enjoy the music.
