New receiver or keep the old

I have an RX-V1 Yamaha and was thinking about getting a new unit. How are the new Yamaha units compared to this one? Is this even a worthwhile upgrade or should I stick with what I have?

Yamaha is a decent brand old or new, so if theres nothing wrong with the one you have, why spend the money on a new unit? I would trust the old one just fine.

Unless you're looking for the newer features in some of the current receivers, the RX-V1 should keep up performance wise with almost anything available.

Re: New receiver or keep the old

Isn't the rxv-1 kind of like the "flagship" avr for Yamaha? I think it used to be?I agree with the others. Unless there is something specific that you want/desire and it is not on the rxv-1 and there is nothing wrong with it, mechanically/sonically, I think I would keep it. Unless of course, you have "upgradeitis" and just have to buy something else.
