Hi All,

I am trying to set up my system which includes:

Sony KF-60WE610 Grand Wega TV
Denon Receiver AVR-887
Sony CD/DVD DVP-NC600
Motorola HD Cable box
TIVO Series 2

What is the best series to hook up these components?

Anyone with a similar system and insight?

Hi Erik. Welcome to HTF!

My first advice:

- Receiver on lowest shelf in your rack. Leave lots of space above
- Cable box above the receiver
- Tivo above the cable box
- DVD player at the highest shelf so you dont have to stoop to interact.


Video Connections:

- HDMI or DVI video connection from Cable box straight to TV
- Component from DVD player straight to TV (unless it has HDMI out as well)
- Component or SVideo from Tivo straight to the TV

Audio Connections:

- Coaxial or Optical inputs from everything to the receiver.
- If the Tivo does not have digital outputs, use L/R RCA cables.

This is NOT the easiest system to use, but it is the best way to connect things. Video straight to TV, audio straight to Receiver.
