hi all i just order a 84 from soundpros and got a good deal. the 84 has 1.3 hdmi and hd radio built in. the ipod interface is upgraded and so has the video section. so if you want a good deal call scott.

I'll be curious to see when you do have this player in hand that it does, in fact have HDMI 1.3 connections.

As stated elsewhere fairly recently on the 'net: "Pioneer previously said HDMI 1.3 connections could appear in high-definition disc players and A/V receivers as early as the summer of 2007."

If it does, this may change my mind with regard to an upcoming AV receiver purchase. This could also be good news for a possible acceleration in HDMI 1.3 equipped product availability.

1.3 isn't out yet. The 84 has 1.2 HDMI though. Pioneer finally has them up on their website.
