The damping factor of Sansui receivers from that era was something like 50 - 100 or so. Damping factor is inverseley related to what's known as output impedance. If the DF becomes really low (output impedance becomes high) then what happens is that the frequency response of the receiver into a speaker load becomes contoured and has a similar shape to the speaker's impedance curve. In your case, this is something I just wouldn't worry about. It's a non-issue. If you like the receiver, it's in good external and apparently internal shape, can get it for a good price, and so forth, just buy it.
