Hi! I have been looking for reviews on a couple things and I cannot find any. I have searched through pages and pages of Google and found only two reviews that are from first-time buyers who did not know anything about technicals.

The SONY HT-DDW700 800W 5.1 Receiver/Speaker package that is extremely cheap..

The second, which I found NO reviews on, and frequently don't find reviews for this brand is the Insignia IS-HC040917 600W 6.1 HT Receiver. It is the Best Buy brand and is also cheap.

Is there a collection of reviews on just HT products? Like a HT reviews forum?
I just can't believe how cheap those are..

you could try asking about the Sony at the Sony enthusiasts forum http://www.agoraquest.com/

chances are you won't find editorial reviews of budget equipment, unless it is extremely good and word gets around to the audio rags. A good place to start searching is http://www.ecoustics.com/ and they will list editorial reviews if there are any
