Now that I've had my NuForce Ref 9 mono blocks for a couple of weeks I thought I'd post a brief review of what I've heard to date.
First impressions....

They're built VERY well. I love the solid grip the binding posts have on my banana plugs.
They run hotter then I thought they would for a quasi digital design
The blue lights on the front are perfect. I HATE bright annoying lights on gear but these are just right.
The RCA plug's are alright...not as high a quality as the binding posts.
Sound quality wise they're still new and I didn't get to spend much more then 15 minutes listening to them critically with some demo material....but here's some initial thoughts
* Bass is very impressive and tight.
* The high end is crystal clear if not a little to dry
* The mid range is dry
* Compared to the Rotel RB1080 I owned a while ago I'd say the NuForce is as good on the bottom end but its much more analytical in sound. Now of course my NuForce is brand new and hasn't broken it yet so I fully expect things to change as things settle in given the findings of other owners etc.
Follow up impressions....
Now that they're broken in and I've spent more time really listening to them I've come to realize that these amps are very detailed and open in sound. You might think initially think they're bright sounding but they aren't in that you can listen to them for hours and not get fatigued and high notes don't sound shrill at all. At the other end of the audio spectrum these little amps pack quiet a punch with tight control over the bass. I'd love to hear these powering a large Maggie speaker
