Pioneer 1014 enough for B&W?
I currently have a Pioneer 1014TX receiver with Athena speakers and a Dayton sub. I just purchased (yet to receive) B&W DM604-S3 front towers, B&W DM602-S3 rear surrounds, B&W LCR600-S3 centre channel and an HSU STF-3 Subwoofer... now my question is will the Pioneer Receiver be enough to power these speakers??

I'd say look for at least a 2ch amp for the mains.

I disagree with John. If you run them at "small" and crossover at 60-80Hz, which you should do with an SVS sub, the Pioneer should be 100% fine. Try it and if there's a problem you can add an amp later.

Even in 2ch full range I don't think the 600 series would expose any major flaws in the 1014's amplification. The 700s or 800s would be a completely different story.

Depends on how loud one likes to listen I suppose.
The 1014 just did not cut it in my room at all even with the corss over to sub set much higher than I like it to be. But I watch movies at true reference levels often.

Reference level isn't a problem for my 1014TX in a 18 x 28 room w/ Swans 4.1 mains (6ohm, not easy to drive), 2.1 surrounds, Avalanche sub.
