Pioneer 1014 or 45TX?

Hi everybody -

I've got the chance to pick up an Elite 45TX for $375 or so locally. I was wondering if this is worth the little bit extra or if I should keep looking for a 1014 on ebay or around here. The specs are so similar that I'm not really sure which way to go. I know the 1014 has PLIIx, and the 45TX is rated for 10 wpc less, but was wondering if anyone can add some real-world advice.

Thanks in advance -Peter

I'd go with the 45Tx. The 1014 is basically the same as one model below the 45.

Both are great receivers. The 45TX is going to have a slightly better build quality and perhaps a small amount more power. The 1014TX is going to have newer features like PLIIx and Component Video transcoding. I replaced a 43TX w/ a 1014TX mainly for the benefit of Auto-MCACC and didn't feel like it was a step down at all. That said, if you don't need the component video transcoding then i'd probably go w/ the 45TX.
